KAMAR BUKU – “The Book Room”

YWB currently supports a number of mobile libraries in Indonesia, and are hoping to expand within Australia and the Asia Pacific. In the near future we may be running book drives, fundraisers and working bees to pack and ship books (for more detailed information, view the Mobile Libraries Fact Sheet). To find out how you can help please contact Yassmin Abdel-Magied.

**This project has now been extended, and with the support of the Gold Coast Homeless Network and the Gold Coast City Council, we now have a Gold Coast Street Library!

If you would like to volunteer, click the link and fill in the form through the website! Volunteering and donating opportunities are many! =D

Spark Engineering Camp

This is an exciting new initiative for a 5 day fully funded Engineering camp (supported by the University of Queensland and industry groups) for Indigenous, refugee, migrant, rural or otherwise disadvantage high school students. We would love to have you on board so for more information please download the information pack and email Yassmin Abdel-Magied for details about sponsorship and timelines.

Pen Pal Perspectives

We are currently developing a project to link you people with a pen-pal overseas. Please If you would like to be involved, please download the PenPal Project Registration Form and return it to us.

One Moon – Sanitary Items for African Women

YWB support a project to provide women in poverty-stricken countries with disposable and reusable sanitary items – something small that they rarely have access to, but which has a profound impact for change and opportunity. To find out more visit http://onemoonproject.webs.com or contact Lauren Williams
