Please join us for Youth to Community, the Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development (AYAD) Forum 2012.
Part of National Youth Week, The AYAD Forum is an annual event which provides a platform for discussion around a topical development issue. The Forum is held to recognise the continued need to foster linkages between Australia and the countries of Asia, the Pacific and Africa to make a positive contribution to development. The 2012 theme Youth to Community will highlight the importance of skilled young Australian volunteers working with communities to contribute to sustainable development and poverty alleviation.
Date: Tuesday 17th April
Location: State Library of Victoria, 328 Swanston Street, Melbourne
Time: 6.00pm for a 6:30pm start
Our inspirational speakers include Aaron Tait (Executive Director, Spark* International), Kate Ferguson (Director, Co-Design Studio), Nelson Katovai, Program Coordinator at Save the Children Solomon Islands, and returned AYAD Steve Meyer who will provide their perspectives on the topic Youth to Community. The event will be hosted by Pierre Johannessen Law firm partner, founder of Big Bang Ballers and retuned AYAD.
This is a fantastic opportunity to expand your networks by meeting other Australian Partner Organisations (APOs), some of which will be exhibiting on the night, and returned volunteers.
This is a free event but places are limited so click here to register.
